2017 KTM Duke 390 colour screen will sync Maps from your smartphone

The new Duke street fighter adopts a super aggressive design which is highlighted by a futuristic bifurcated headlamp which appears to employ LEDs. Beleived to be built on a lighter and a more rigid chassis, new generation Duke 390 will also be more powerful, sharper and more refined than the current Duke 390.
Design updates include – redesigned fuel tank and razor sharp extensions further accentuate the motorcycle’s character. Thanks to the latest spy shots, we can also notice a new rear subframe and revised exhaust system. This will help KTM pass the stringent EURO 4 emission norms, allowing the bike to go on sale in Europe.

The motorcycle also receives a new instrument console. If we are to believe a new report, the instrument control of new gen Duke 390 is going to be a full-colour unit and that too with bluetooth smartphone integration. This will allow you to sync your bike’s data with your phone. Also, it will also use some phone apps, for example maps, and stream it on the bike’s console.
Reports also adds that it will get dual function forks, one responsible for damping, and the other for handling rebound. New Duke 390 also features new switch gears, riding modes and a new tail. We can expect new color themes as well. As far as equipment list is concerned, the Duke 390 will retain the dual-channel ABS, WP Suspension system. Sadly, the Metzeler tyres have been replaced by Michelin tyres.

The 373.2 cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine which is hailed for its best-in-class performance is expected to undergo tweaks to enhance refinement. A few reports also suggest that the power output could be bumped up from the current 44 PS. The powertrain to benefit from ride-by-wire tech and slipper clutch.
The next gen KTM Duke 390 is expected to make its world debut at EICMA 2016 in Milan alongside other compact Duke siblings. Bajaj’s Chakan plant would continue to be the global production base for the compact Dukes and RCs.
